A customer laments, "I purchased a bed from them [La Redoute], the bed base came and was built very poorly. It looked good, but when put together realised it had no slats, just three flimsy pine cross bars. This meant the mattress collapsed through the bottom. On the second night one of the crossbars broke, so now the bed is useless. Customer support has not been good, rude and dismissive." Sally Emslie warns, "Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE [La Redoute]. I have never in my entire life received such shocking service. Wrong rug sent, took me a month to get them to acknowledge this, a further month to get the rug collected (not a small thing to have lurking in your hallway), repeated dates given for collection (me having to wait in from 6am - 8pm each time as that is the window)... nobody pitching up. Eventually got the rug collected, but is now 'lost' and they have no record of collection so I am still without a refund. Do yourself a favour and just buy from somewhere else..."

"J'ai travaillé aux achats pendant presque 6 ans. Il y a d'excellents managers et de très mauvais. Malheureusement, ces très mauvais managers restent tandis que leurs équipes tombent. Ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils veulent, sont incapables de prendre une décision, regardent toujours au dessus de votre épaule, retournent leur veste en permanence pour bien passer auprès des grands chefs mais n'hésitent pas à vous humilier au passage. Il y a un turn-over de dingue chez les stylistes et les chefs de produits-acheteurs. La majorité sont d'ailleurs en arrêt pour burn-out et dépression. "I am resending this review as I ordered from LaRedoute. com and not their UK site (Brexit effect, not keen to order via UK sites) but I did get a reply from a UK customer rep.
I had the same experience as most recent reviews - terrible
same as most recent reviews - terrible logistics. I have been waiting for several weeks to obtain a returns number to send back unsuitable light fittings - they took about 6 weeks to arrive and I have now been waiting for a returns number for 4 weeks. I bought 2 light fittings and originally only wanted to send back only 1 but now I want to return the entire order due to the poor service.
They acknowledged my returns number request several weeks ago but still waiting for information"

"I can safely rate this as THE WORST online shopping experience I’ve ever had ! I ordered a leather jacket for my daughter as a Christmas present on the 3rd Nov and got a dispatch note from La Redoute to say the order had left France on the 7th. However when the order arrived in Ireland the tracking page said that it was being sent back to France because of some issue. I wrote to customer services two times informing them about this but got no reply. By this time it was already the 21st Nov and I decided to try re-order the jacket because otherwise I would not get it in time for Christmas. (I went through PayPal to get a refund for my original order which I got immediately.) I now waited for my re-ordered item to arrive. On the 25th I got a dispatch note again from La Redoute with a tracking number. Since then the order has been stuck ‘in transit’ with the courier company. Called customer services number three times and spoke with the same person who could only tell me the order was stuck with the courier company - no reasons given , no apologies. I explained that this was a Christmas present and all the lady said was that she would get back to me when she heard back from the courier company. Till date no reply! Then on the 20th Dec i suddenly get a reply from customer services saying that they have information about my original order and that the courier company needs more information about my address. I am shocked because customer services is clearly unaware that this order has been refunded to me (despite having sent me a refund email themselves!) Again I wrote to them explaining this and asking about the re-ordered item. Again no reply. Christmas has come and gone and I’m now wondering if I’m going to receive this order at all. Worst customer services. Nobody knows what’s going on and I don’t think they care too much about losing customers. I would honestly tell people to stay away from this company if you value your sanity !

"Avoid at all costs. Ordered several expensive items in October. No delivery and now tracking has disappeared. Emailed them 5 tines and got 1 reply saying they'd check it out and 3 weeks later still nothing from them. No customer service and not even the curtesy of a reply from them. Deplorable."

She has tried to contact them many times and just gets an automated reply and yet another Ticket Number, We just want our purchases. It may be time to do a charge bank and get the money returned. My order cost €160 , this is not good enough. With the all the online shopping I have done over the last 9 months I have not come across a company as BAD as La Redoute for customer service and poor communication. I want a refund ASAP! Order No. GE739557780FR. Customer service should not only depend on customers leaving bad reviews on TrustPilot! It should exist anyway.

"Like others, i placed an order for a kingsize bed in their Sale back in July. The lead-time was 8 weeks but that worked for us as we were moving and it was for the new house. 8 weeks later i logged into my account as i hadn't heard anything regarding delivery, only to discover that my order had been cancelled and that they were going to contact me 'shortly'. No contact followed, no email, nothing. The only saving grace is that it looks like they didn't charge me for the product at the time of ordering. Avoid!"

Having not had any contact for 6 weeks I logged in to see that my order status is cancelled. However, I have not been contacted to advise of this or offered a refund. Now I can see that all three items are available at full price on their website. VERY SUSPICIOUS!

I will happily go to the advertising standards agency if they do not reinstate my order as this is nothing short of fraud in my opinion."

I already created the return order form the website,but since the address is in France, I’m no allowed to send any parcel from Ireland to France. Due to Covid regulations. Please I need a return since a refund was ordered.

"I ordered from La Redoute (Deutschland) for 197 Euro of Bedding around 3 weeks ago. They took the money almost instantly, but never did send an order confirmation. Nobody answers the phone in their French head office. Today (Exactly 3 weeks) after I placed the order, they in fact cancelled the order themselves. The reason for the cancellation was because they could not fulfill the order due to stock levels... However the same products are still showing as being available on their website!

I still have not received my refund, which I was not particularly worried about - However after reading the reviews on here, it looks like I may struggle to get the refund now.

Quite shocked to find this many bad reviews, from a company that seemingly looked legitimate and professional. Mostly I'm just disappointed to start searching for bedding from elsewhere."

"I have sent numerous emails and called and have had not a single reply to date, I sent back a pair of shoes for a refund and tracked it and it has been signed by a person by the name of J Pearson at a UK address I was informed to return it back to in an email from their customer service team a week after I had sent previous emails asking them for a return address ... honestly this is the worst customer service I have had and would never ever recommend anyone purchasing anything from them as it is a waste of your precious time and energy. stay well and truly away as their are far better and more reliable sites than this crap"

"I ordered online items(bedlinen sets) for shipment to Turkey because the website said that they catered for this and I could pay the duty/tax upfront with no hidden costs. I placed 3 orders of different sizes all with duty prepaid
The first shipment sat a month in customs because - as I eventually learned after many calls and emails with dHL - it was over the 30kg customs limit by 1Kg. So I asked DHL to return it as I did not want to have to find an import agency to clear it, give the power of attorney etc. I am still waiting for a recredit of that 1st order from August. The 2nd and 3rd small orders arrived swiftly and cleared customs OK.
Then to replace the items I still needed to make up bed linen sets, I placed two smaller orders to ensure a lower package weight. Now they are also in customa since one month, as DHL say I am over the number of shipments I am allowed without being a commercial importer. They say I cant ship in more than 5 consignments but no where does it state this either on La redoute site or DHL customs clearance notes.
I have emailed La Redoute numerous times. No real concern given or assistance. I have literally £1000's of goods not delivered. The.website is a mis representation of their service and they clearly have no real experience of shipping to Turkey leaving me with the mess my end .
At this rate I will have to return even the little times I have received as they will be useless without the balance orders."

"A horrible customer service, practically doesn’t exist. It made me a lot of troubles to contact with them via e-mail or the phone – with no results. Beside, the returns you have to send now directly to France, and it is many times more expensive than before, when you could send it via the La Redoute shipment point in your country. The data they give you to prepare the sending are not complete (no phone number and e-mail address of the receiver in France) so you cannot to use services of many courier companies, who need such items. I am afraid that this company have serious business troubles and it is a big risk to buy anything there, especially that they take money from your card very quickly, but you have to wait for the delivery for weeks."

"Usually, when you order from a mail-order company (they have one job!), and if the item is in stock (which La Redoute claim it was), the parcel is being prepared and shipped immediately (that's the beauty of 2018 IT systems and supply-chain processes...).
Except that with La Redoute, they send you a "parcel is being prepared" 2 weeks AFTER your order and payment. And "parcel is being prepared" doesn't mean "parcel is being shipped". I still have no clue, 2 weeks after my order (that was made 3 weeks before Christmas) if it's even going to be shipped before Christmas. And by the way, don't even try to reach their clients' services: they have ignored all my 5 mails sent over a period of 1 week (although they claim they'll get back to you in 24 hours).
An unreliable company, unreliable service, no client services: AVOID!"

"The delivery dates that they communicate before buying are fake. I bought several items to have them delivered at my holiday house. They came later that announced so I wasn't able to pick them up. It's been more than a month that I tried to get hold of someone in customer service to get my order reimbursed, by mail and on Facebook, I only receive automatic replies that they'll get back to me in 24 hours. I will obviously never use this site again. I thought they were getting better but I should have checked Trustpilot before!"

It's been already more than 3 months since I have ordered shoes from this company, reference number GE29444060FR. Still didn't get them to my address. I've been calling and writing and the last reply I got from them was:
